QFAQ
What is a healthy BMI? +
By WHO standards, 18.5 to 24.9 is considered healthy for most adults. Below that is underweight, 25–30 overweight, and above 30 obese.
Is BMI accurate for everyone? +
No. BMI does not distinguish muscle from fat, so athletes can score "overweight" and it is not calibrated for children or pregnancy. It is a rough screening tool, not a diagnosis.
